For the Colbert Platinum members – Stephen Colbert will be hosting a benefit for form Michael J. Fox’s foundation. From the New York Observer.
Our future husband Stephen Colbert hosts “A Funny (Groovy) Thing Happened on the Way to Cure Parkinson’s,” a benefit for Michael J. Fox’s foundation featuring the fat-versus-thin Rachael Ray, social-climbing Eliot Spitzer, dressmaker Donna Karan, and moderately talented but hot top-40 kings Gavin DeGraw and Rob Thomas. Later, it’s a talk on Che Guevara’s life, sponsored by the Freedom Socialist Party and featuring a “zesty Cuban” dinner. Is there any other kind of Cuban, we ask you?
[A Funny (Groovy) Thing Happened on the Way to Cure Parkinson’s, Sheraton Hotel, 811 Seventh Avenue, 7 p.m., 212-245-6570; Che Guevara, Freedom Hall, 113 West 128th Street, 7:30 p.m., 212-222-0633]

It’s starting to look like if TCR were cancelled, Stephen could make a very good living on the lecture/hosting circuit alone.

Like I said vigwig – a better bargain than Bill Clinton.
And I know all of you are thinking about the pro-life / Rush Limbaugh / communist jokes Stephen would have wanted to tell about this on the Report…

Rob Thomas did this benefit last year and his performance was worth the price of admission alone. He was wonderful!
