This video, of a very pretty lady with a very soothing accent, is an odd video that starts with discussion of the writer’s strike and ends with some kind of quantum physics. It’s very surreal. But they plug us, which is pretty cool because of the misinformation they have about us which amused me greatly. And with the Writers’ strike going on, I need all the chuckles I can get.

I’d say “surreal” about sums it up.
(I hoped, when you mentioned quantum physics, that she was somehow going to bring in the “Schrödinger Night Fever” principle . . . which is an inside joke for the Jasper Fforde lovers out there. This is the point at which people will probably tell me that I need to get a life.)

You guy’s are colbert report writers in disguise!!!!! Thats too funny but I really liked the physics lesson that seemed to come from nowhere and had a rather odd relation to the earlier segment. And Ms I, I have a feeling that most of us need a life in some form or another (I’m quite content with mine thank you, It was on sale!)

Can I just say being the geek I am that she is wrong about Einstein’s theories being replaced. His theories will simply be modified and incorporated into a much bigger theory in the same way Newton’s theories weren’t replaced by Einstein’s but simply was modified and incorporated into the general & special theories of relativity. The same way TV will not be replaced by the internet but will be modified and incorporated into a new media system that increasingly includes internet streamed media, the same way radio wasn’t replaced by TV but simply modified and incorporated into the media system we have now.
P.S. Has anyone got her number as I’d like to discuss this over a drink :~)

Whatever quantum physics and Einstein’s theory of relativity have to do with the strike, the Internet, and No Fact Zone, I don’t think I’ll ever understand.
