This wednesday at 8pm, NILF (for those you who missed that episode of TDS – News I’d Like to…) and prospective American, Samantha Bee guest stars in an episode of Little Mosque on the Prairie. That’s right. In Canada we write sitcoms about Muslims and their subsequent investigation by the government. Get over it. What we need to is give telegenic blonde real life former counter-terrorism agents their own television development deals. How about something in Robert Novak’s timeslot?

In the Google search for Samantha Bee, a blog entry talking about Amy Sedaris’ April/May 2005 interview with BUST magazine (conducted by SNL’s Maya Rudolph) and her endowments, culinary and otherwise, pop up.
I’ve snipped here and there as it uses colourful language normally suitable for a college football blog.
Maxim starves them in a cage for three months prior to shooting, while Bust lets curvy geek women strut it and, in the case of the Daily Show’s Samantha Bee, pose seven months pregnant standing on a ladder with a cigarette and martini in hand.

Uh oh. It kinda looks to me like ‘Little Mosque’ ripped off an aspect of one of Sam’s funniest TDS pieces ever.
(The one where she drives around in a Publisher’s Clearing House van to work her way into folk’s houses so she can check on their emergency preparedness–favorite line: ‘I’ll be your apocalypse f**k-buddy’).
