This seemed like a good time to add to the list of shows and appearances to watch for. Some chances to see the performers and writers we’ve come to love are on the horizon:
- An unnamed “Senior Writer from The Colbert Report” will be featured tomorrow on “Q” (CBC Radio, Canada) . . . I’ll hazard a wild guess it will be Barry Julien (he’s Canadian), but we’ll have to wait and see whether we can find any audio tomorrow.
Editor’s note: If you can’t get CBC Radio One off the antenna or from Sirius Satellite Channel 137, check out cbc.ca/podcast -TLE - Peter Gwinn will be performing in “Shut Up! I Hate You!” at the UCB Theater in New York on Thursday, Novenber 29th.
- The “BUST Magazine Holiday Craftacular” on December 8th features a book signing by Amy Sedaris for I Like You: Hospitality Under the Influence
- The History Channel will debut “1968 with Tom Brokaw” on Sunday, December 9th. I don’t know how prominently he will feature, but Jon Stewart appears in the special, “trac[ing] the roots of his Daily Show to the Smothers Brothers”
- An evening with the writers and friends of The Daily Show, Monday, December 10th at 8:00 p.m. at Comix (“Join some of the writers, friends and behind the scenes team favorites of The Daily Show!” Hosted by Rory Albanese.)
- The Thursday, January 17th, 2008 installment of “Next Week’s News with Andy Borowitz” at Comix lists Amy Sedaris and John Oliver as two of its “Special Guests” for the evening.
- Finally (and I leave this one for last because it’s probably out of reach of those of us reading this blog), there are some VIP tickets up for auction for The Daily Show, may it return to cheer us up again soon. Here’s the real draw: it includes a meet and greet with Jon! Proceeds benefit The Adrienne Shelly Foundation. Oh, to be fabulously wealthy, just for five minutes . . .

Apparently Peter Gwinn will be on the Brian Lehrer Show this morning on WNYC (show is 10-12, it doesn’t say when he’ll be on).
