I say that’s Stephen to the right. That’s cool they didn’t mention him, probably per his request (?). He doesn’t want it to be about him (which it’s not).
Also, how f***ed up is it that the strike is virtually non-existent on any televised news shows? I understand why, it’s just very eerie, in a fascist way….

@Amy:
I feel fairly certain that isn’t Stephen, seeing as how Stephen is 5’10″ at least, and that’s a rather short guy.

@ Amy,
It’s a pleasing idea, but I have to agree with DB. Also, I saw another picture with Allison, Rich and that third individual, and in that picture, our mystery man is turned slightly more toward the camera; it’s clearly not Stephen in that one.

Waaaaaaaa…when will we see pics of Stephen on the picketline? It’s good enough for Robin Williams, why not Stephen?
I’ve been protesting the Occupation since before it began at a local vigil (Kent, Ohio) once/week and I’d like to see The Man do a little protesting himself. Plus, I love seeing him out of character.

Not a peep on the strike from Stewart or Colbert lately, whassup guys?

@vigwig:
I can only speculate, but I imagine Stephen and Jon are keeping a low profile at the beginning of this at any rate, because although they are clearly writers also, they make a hell of a lot more money than their staff writers. Since the settlement will have a much greater financial impact on the (to the public) invisible staff writers, Stephen and Jon are letting them stand (and holler) in the spotlight for now.
I’ll bet we’ll hear from both soon enough. And maybe, if the strike is VERY prolonged, we may expect not only some interviews from Stephen, but even some reaction through what he does best, viz., perform. (Could Stephen do benefit-for-the-writers performances of TCR on stage without that constituting crossing the picket line?)
Which raises another question that’s crossed my mind recently. As Stephen has noted himself, he’s more or less addicted to performing. How’s he going to hold up if the strike goes on for months? I can’t imagine him not finding some outlet or other for his many gifts.

With regards to Jon and Stephen’s opinion on this. I think nousblet’s right in her(?) opinion on them keeping a low profile. Besides, anyone who saw the closing to the last TDS has a fair guess as to what Jon thinks of the situation…
@ nousblet, re Stephen finding a performing outlet.
This is something I thought about too, and not just Stephen. All the correspondents from TDS are suddenly gonna have extra time on their hands. Oh, to live in New York right now, because I can see all those guys making more appearances at various comedy clubs. I can also imagine UCB is gonna have a very good line-up (from a TDS/TCR fans POV) if this strike progresses too much longer. I mean, who else can imagine Stephen turning up unannounced at something like Having A Ball at UCB…?
(My brain just stalled while I thought about that concept – I saw Having A Ball back in May. It was awesome, and to thing of Stephen being in that mix… :brain goes ‘wibble’:)

@nousblet – You’re probably right but I think a well place comment/action in solidarity with the WGA (like Steve Carrell did) would be welcome to see.
As showrunners/producers Jon and Stephen are probably between a rock and a hard place.
