That was a very informative summary. Thanks. I’m so behind the WGA. I hope, hope, hope they can pull through soon. Those are like, the most reasonable demands I’ve ever heard. I don’t get it.

Thank you very for posting this video, DB! In can’t imagine how could anyone NOT support the writers after seeing that…and after reading Deadline Hollywood Daily’s detailing of the AMPTP’s double-dealing in bad faith?
Best wishes to the writers in their fight…

That was a good and informative video. I hope this gets resolved quickly, but I most definitely support the writer’s and will through the long haul.

Great. I wished they played that on the network news but the media moguls who make $30mm a year won’t let it happen.

What a great video. I understand a lot more than I did before. They’ve been getting ripped off for years! And what they’re asking for isn’t exactly unreasonable.
Go, Writers!

this truly had been helpful, now if we could just get the greedy moguls to stop playing the ‘victim’ and fix this injustice…

Well done…brava…and thanks for posting it!
I’m almost positive if studios and networks didn’t overpay some of their execs (who probably don’t do much), the writers (who actually DO the work) could make the money to which they’re entitled. That’s how it usually works with any major corporation too…those who don’t do squat, make the dough. Those who work very hard, don’t make squat.

Oh no! I accidentally learned something from YouTube!
But seriously, it does put things into perspective. All this time, I’ve openly laughed at those anti-piracy commercials featuring film crew talking about theft (especially when I was working for peanuts in the actual movie theatre at the time).
I don’t see what the horror is in giving writers another 4 cents off a movie. Perhaps the bigwigs are just confused because they don’t believe in the existence of pennies…
