For those you who were not fortunate enough to miss the Great Hosting Service FUBAR of 2007, you’ll be happy to hear that NoFactZone.net has switched web hosting services!

Our humble blog is now being hosted by DrakNet. Here’s some information about this company:

We currently offer discounted hosting to non-profit community groups, and believe that through sponsored hosting, we can be pro-active in helping to make our world a better, kinder and safer place.

We purchase energy from 100% renewable resources, choosing solar power only, as solar power has the absolute least impact on the environment. DrakNet does not purchase any wind energy. While wind energy is clean, it does have an impact on wildlife, as wind turbines have been called “the cuisinarts of the sky” and have had some negative impact on both birds and bats. While solar is more expensive, it is the most environmentally positive.

So not only is DrakNet progressive and earth-friendly and deeply committed to issues that I care about, there’s one more thing that I really love about this new company – it is owned by an It-Getter. The owner, Jen, is the mother of a very cool member of the Colbert Nation, and has worked hard in her own personal life to promote the message of Colbert to her family, friends and the world.

Jen has been working with me for days to make sure that both NoFactZone.net and Colbert University transfer over to the new servers with no glitches, and she did a lot of work on the back end, as they say in the bidness, to make sure that NFZ and CU are extra secure. Jen’s been a Godsend (or Bobsend depending on your religion), and has really eased my mind about moving to a new server and a new hosting service. Now, with Jen’s assistance and the assistance of her company, Draknet, NoFactZone.net can work even better to bring you the message of Colbert.
