Tivo Alert: Stephen Colbert on ‘Larry King Live’ October 11.

By Jennie on October 1st, 2007 ·

The website for CNN’s ‘Larry King Live’ is reporting that Stephen Colbert will be the guest on Thursday, October 11 (9pm ET / 6pm PT). You can also e-mail a question to the show (even a video question!).

So far he’s his own guest on the 9th, Letterman’s the 10th, and Larry King’s the 11th – it’s looking like a great week!

I saw the Ronald Reagan “Bear” campaign ad for the first time on last Thursday’s show–I’m too young a cub to have seen it when it first came out. But click my name if you want the REAL scoop on the bear in that ad. ;)

I don’t know if this has already been posted anywhere, but Borders has an audio excerpt of IAA (ASCY!) up: http://www.bordersmedia.com/features/audio/iamamerica.asp

What a stressful day.

First I have to spend all day figuring out what Dewey Decimal number to assign to IAA(ASCY!); now I need to figure out what questions to send in to Larry King Live.

Life is sooo hard.

Holy patron saint of suspenders!

I just rewatched the Larry King TCR interview that’s up at CC Motherload and did a double take.

Has Stephen’s funning around with the time-space continuum somehow caused a WristSTRONG bracelet to appear on Larry’s 3/1/07 right wrist?

(I’d include a link to the video, but I’m no good with that. Little help, anyone?)

Last time I comment on this, I swear.

Has it been pointed out yet that the first time we (I, at least) ever heard the title IIA(ASCY!) was during the aforementioned Larry King interview? Larry was going to pretend-interview Stephen for writing a pretend-book. Stephen proffered the title “I am America…and so can you,” but Larry went with “Stephen Colbert’s My Chicago.”

Wonder if SC confessed right after the interview that he really did have a book in the works, and if then LK jumped all over the opportunity to book an earlyish interview?

Here’s the question (approximate wording) I emailed SC via Larry King:

“Do you think your satire can possibly change hearts and minds or
are those you satirize just too dense?

@C – the news that Stephen signed a book deal and was working on a book had been publicized enough before the interview that those in the biz, and Colbert fans, were aware of it. Stephen mentioning the title created a lot of speculation on the fan sites if that was the real title of the upcoming book.

@vigwig – lol!

[...] Check it out here. I’m a fan of the show and most of Stephen’s appearances are pretty funny. I’m sure he’s just promoting his new book but hopefully it’ll be interesting. There’s also a post on the No Fact Zone. [...]
