Hey Nation! While I’m away next week recuperating from surgery, I am pleased to announce that two heroes, DB Ferguson and Gary Spitz, will be contributing and covering Stephen and the show for you, as well as writing things like the Bearwatch and the guest alerts. That’s right! Starting Monday with hopefully some good news back from the Emmys! In the meantime I hope I also receive some good news from the doctors, such as that my surgery was a success and nobody dropped any knives into my stomach by accident. The last time that happened it was very difficult for my friends and family.
We’re still working out the logistics with Avery, but it looks as if we’re going to be posting 3-4 times during the week, including an Emmy Awards recap (with hopefully some good news), and a few other surprises. So we’ll still be here, but we’ll also be bringing the good news to the Colbert Nation from inside the belly of the beast.
Life rocks so hard right now I just can’t describe it.

When I received news about the blogging opportunity, no clarification was made as to what was going to happen with the Colboards. I’ve sent an e-mail to Avery to see what the plan is, and I’ll keep everyone informed as soon as I hear.
