Heather, you’re the best!

I was worried when I saw the subtitle “…forever altered by a family tragedy” (I wonder if Stephen rues the day he ever mentioned that?) but it was a very good article. I really admire how Stephen manages to keep his private life private. I thought the observation that Stephen essentially does his show in a second language due to his personna was particularly astute. For some reason I also love it that Amy Sedaris pronounces his name with a hard “t”. Good stuff.

I think the October VF will be one of the better-selling issues they’ve had in a while. The 11 Sept release date — “ironic” isn’t quite the right word — will provide a decent magazine to read during my travel to Chicago the following week.

This is the best glimpse we’ve had of real Stephen since the BEA speech. It will be such a treat. I’m trying to make myself wait to actually read it till the magazine comes out, but I may weaken…..
