“I Am America (And So Can You!)” Audiobook Preview!
By
Our friends at the Hachette Book Group have generously provided us with three clips of the audiobook of “I Am America (And So Can You!)“!
I can’t tell you how excited I am to share these audio clips with you. So have a listen to the files below, and if you haven’t ordered your copy of the audiobook yet, what are you waiting for?
‘My American Childhood’
Stephen reminisces about his his earliest American childhood memory.
‘Chapter 3: Animals’ According to Stephen, the single most important thing you can do as a human being is to dominate an animal – because you better believe they’d dominate us if they could.
‘Religion’
Stephen explains why his religion is so practical: if you’re good, you don’t die. Therefore, Stephen will have eternity to watch that Civil War documentary he got last Christmas.
If we receive any more preview clips, we’ll post ‘em posthaste – whether they’re from Stephen or from the many guest readers lending their voices to this project.

Niiice! This audiobook is going to be so amazing. But then, I think that’s a given for anything Colbert-related.

I want this book SO SO SO SO SO BAD. Why is it not October, yet? I… I believe that’s the first time I’ve ever said that. So awesome! Thank you and everyone involved with the book at the Hatchette Group so much for the preview clips!

Cool! I guess it’s because he’s talking slower, but he sounds sort of tired.

The first one, with the dramatic music at the end, is my favorite. :D

That, and the list of guest-readers? Totally broke my resolve. I’d more or less managed to convince myself that I didn’t need both the book (which I ordered a while back) *and* the audiobook, but… yeah, they’re both on pre-order now. God, I’m such a geek.

If (or WHEN) Colbert runs for President, he needs to have as a Foreign Policy issue that we outsource the Iraq War to China.
