WristSTRONG

According to Avery over at ColbertNation.com, all funds received from the WristSTRONG bracelets will be donated to the Yellow Ribbon Fund. According to the Yellow Ribbon Fund web site:

The Yellow Ribbon Fund was created in early 2005 to assist our injured service members and their families while they recuperate at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center and the National Naval Medical Center. Our mission began when the father of an injured Marine introduced two of our volunteers to staff at Walter Reed and Bethesda Naval and they told us what needs were not met by other donors.

  2. $5 a band for pre-order is awesome. $3 per band is a bit outrageous – especially when ordering in bulk!

  3. $3 per band for shipping, I mean.

Comedy Central sure did jack up the shipping. I would expect that from a random Ebay seller, but it doesn’t seem like Viacom would need to pull that. I guess you have to think of it as a $5.00 donation to charity, and $5.40 for the actual bracelet. Keep telling yourself that and pretty soon it will make sense, sort of. At least they are donating the proceeds; I’d never buy one if Viacom was keeping the money.
