Once more, with feeling

For those of you just joining us (waves at BoingBoing.net readers and people from Ian Bogost’s blog):

So I wake up this morning and say, like I do most mornings, “I’m just going to make sure the site’s not down, and then I’m jumping in the shower.” Except … this was the morning I’ve been dreading since starting the site. Sure enough, the Wordpress database crashed. I took a deep breath, and then calmly sent a panicked noted to my hosting service, WiredHub.net, begging for their assistance.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch:

Ok, kids, the good news is that our site is now officially back at 100 percent. And we got linked on BoingBoing.net!

BUT … the bad news is that we lost a few days worth of posts due to the backup restore. We’re going to work on getting those posts restored, so please bear with us.
