Dine for the Charleston Nine

Stephen’s fans know him to be a truly generous and caring man; the people of Charleston saw one more example of that at the recent “Dine for the Charleston Nine” benefit event. From People magazine:

Stephen Colbert, serving coffee at the Dine for the Charleston Nine event at the South Carolina city’s Charleston Place Hotel. The Colbert Report host, who grew up in the area, arrived incognito and delighted benefit attendees with his beverage service. And good spirits permeated the evening: The event, which benefited family members of the nine firefighters who recently died in the line of duty, raised almost $500,000.
