Yesterday NFZ brought you Stephen’s photoshoot for GQ. Today we found the cover of the May issue of GQ. Check it out!!

Here’s what our fellow it-getters at Huffington Post have to say about the May issue:
GQ Set to Get Totally Eneagled
The May GQ is currently wending it’s way to newsstands everywhere, and readers should get prepared for a slate of features that are simply Presidential.
…
But here we are, totally burying the lede! Don’t think we don’t know what you’ll be flipping to first–”The Real Colbert Report”, in which Stephen Colbert, storied firebrand of freem, officially applies for the job of leader of the free world. You’ll read about his outreach to the ladies, his official “lick-mus” test for Supreme Court nominees, and peep a photospread that’ll be sure to give Colbert Nation the vay-puhs. You’re on notice, America!
A tip of the hat to GQ for honoring the Greatest Living American.
I have mine!

I can’t believe they chose the creepy pic for the cover. I mean… the baby… it’s like something that would live in my closet when I was a child.

It sounds like I’m just about the only one, but I think that pic of Stephen with the baby is hilarious. Of course the baby’s a little creepy; it’s Stephen Colbert’s head, wonky ear and all, Photoshopped onto a baby’s body! Nothing about that isn’t bizarre. But the photo as a whole is such a perfect blend of the self-love (megalomania?) exhibited by a lot of politicians, the super-patriotic symbolism they always use (the baby’s wearing an American flag diaper, for cryin’ out loud!), and the “compassionate,” baby-hugging signifiers that they also try to work into their photo ops . . . I just think it’s hysterical from top to red, white and blue-striped bottom.

Haha, trust me, I thought about all that, and I even stared at the pic telling myself it wasn’t that bad, but… now I’m just convinced the wonky-eared baby wants to bite off Stephen’s wonky ear.
This might be symptomatic of the massive number of horror movies my dad would rent for me when I was in middle school…

Gaia Faye, I just have to ask… why would you have something like that in your closet as a child?
I’m with MsI – I adore this picture and the whole ‘Who’s your Daddy?’ come on. It was funny as a picture, but as a cover it’s outstanding!
I also love that they used the image on the spine of the mag – you can see it on the top left of the image of the cover…
Do you think things like this make Bill-O a wee bit jealous?

That’s so cool that huffpo has a link to wikiality in that article.
Nice.

I don’t think any of the photos are disturbing.
Like MsI, I think it’s hilarious. It even made my mother laugh…a lot!

@Barenjager –
Yea, the wikiality link is a great shout out – and thanks for reminding me that I forgot to duplicate it here… it’s there now. (I was in too much of a hurry getting this up I forgot. My bad.)
Re creepy factor – I find the baby’s neck disturbingly long for an infant, but Stephen’s face with that baby belly makes me laugh.

I just can’t get over it.
I think this is the best magazine entry for Stephen. The questionaire is hysterical and the photos are hilarious. A perfect 10 for me!

@Scorpioprodigy:
Since you have a ‘hard copy’ – is there anything more than what’s on the web?

Yes. Lots, actually! It’s a three page questionaire.
One of my favorite Q&As is: “What do you consider to be your bbiggest weakness as a candidate? Don’t like being touched or looked at by the poor.”
