It's simple, really. The Taxachusetts establishment decided it was something you did not need to know. It's all part of a commie-liberal conspiracy.

[...] The Not-Exclusive interview with a ‘Tek Jansen’ writer Tom Peyer is interviewed for the Seattle Times, giving some insight to his sense of humor. Of course the most informative interview with Mr. Peyer regarding the ‘Tek Jansen’ comic is found here at NFZ (from February 16, 2007) [...]

[...] Well, folks, another break week is upon us. We here at NFZ sincerely hope Stephen and his staff enjoying their well-earned time off. In the meantime, we hope you’ll enjoy this multi-part interview with Scott Chantler, illustrator for “Stephen Colbert’s Tek Jansen Adventures”. As regular readers of this blog will know, the release date for the first issue of the long-awaited “Stephen Colbert’s Tek Jansen Adventures” is April 25th. I’ll admit, I was already eager to see what the good folks at Oni could do with it after reading the interview Tom Peyer (miniseries co-author) granted the No Fact Zone back in February, but my anticipation level rose several more notches upon reading Scott’s very thoughtful responses to our questions.
Nice work by someone pointing out the cover looks nothing like Colbert. It's almost as though the artist were distorting his appearance to achieve some sort of, I don't know, artistic effect.
Also the bad guy on the cover looks nothing like a real Brazilian. Please fix.
