If you’d like to own a piece of Stephen Colbert history, eBay has the auction for you! Chris Funk, the lead guitar player of the Decemberists (and the loser of the shred-off) had decided to dump this piece of negative karmic detritus and auction it off for charity. Here’s a description of the guitar according to eBay: “B.C. Rich Warlock used by Chris Funk on the Stephen Colbert show. Signed by Stephen Colbert, Chris Funk, Peter Frampton, Rick Nielsen, and Robert Schneider. This guitar is in the color silver. This item is being auctioned by the band. All proceeds will be given to p:ear. p:ear is an organization that serves homeless and transitional young people in downtown Portland, OR through creative mentorship and programs in art, education and recreation.”
I think it’s fantastic that Funk is doing this for charity. More celebrities should do things like this.

Looks like the seller has added a few photos of the signatures. Chris Funk signed, “I concede” and Stephen wrote, “You rock!”
What I wouldn’t give to be that lucky buyer . . .
